Four levels of Spanish are offered as well as 3 levels of 英语 for non-native 英语 speakers.
西班牙语我
First year Spanish covers basic pronunciation, grammar, 和 translation. The cultures, histories 和 literature of the Spanish speaking world are introduced through readings 和 activities. Classes are conducted in Spanish as much as possible to build a working 词汇表.
西班牙二世
Second year Spanish concentrates on developing speaking 和 writing skills. Continued development of 词汇表 is a prime objective, along with a thorough study of grammar 和 syntax. The development of an appreciation of culture is continued.
西班牙二世I
Third year Spanish continues the study of 词汇表 和 grammar that was begun in 西班牙语我. Course work includes readings from Spanish literature, which can be utilized through online works 和 extensions of the textbook.
西班牙第四
Fourth year Spanish is devoted to more 词汇表 building 和 fine-tuning of grammar skills. Written assignments are a regular part of the course. These assignments are generated by study of the literature of major writers in the Spanish language 和 discussion of these works in Spanish.
Reading 和 Writing in 英语
This course is for students from countries where 英语 is not the native language. It is designed to build grammar, 词汇表, listening 和 speaking, 和 reading 和 writing skills so students are able to communicate functionally in 和 out of the classroom. The class is taught relying heavily on an online program called “USA Learns.” Students use the online program 和 are monitored by an onsite instructor that provides assistance as needed. Upon completion of the USA Learns program students then begin a program for TOEFL Test preparation.
